A Double Taxation Agreement was signed between Malta and Vietnam on 15 July 2016.
The Government of Malta welcomed this development as a breakthrough for encouraging investment in both countries, as well as its part in the continued expansion of Malta’s DTA network.
Malta has long-standing policy of signing such agreements with emerging countries in order to encourage the growth of international trade, particularly in the financial services sector. To date, treaties are in force with over 65 countries, and this policy is expected to continue prospering in the future.
