The Veneto, the Italian region where Treviso is situated, is a prime example of what has often been referred to as the Italian economic miracle when poor economies based on agriculture and plagues by constant floods where transformed in leading industrial regional economies.
As years pass by, the needs of the owners of such industries have changed. Some face succession planning issues, other require wealth management solutions.
It is against this background that the Milano representative office of Bank of Valletta organised, an event highlighting the development of Malta as an emerging economic and financial services jurisdiction. The event was held at the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno and was addressed by Her Excellency Vanessa Frazier, Malta’s Ambassador to Italy.
The event was very well received by the professionals and entrepreneurs and was addressed by Simone Meneghini (BOV Milano), Joseph Camilleri (Executive Head Business Development & Corporate Services at BOV Fund Services), Aldo Scardino (Executive Head at BOV Wealth Management and Emmanuel Mazzitelli (Chief Officer of Malta Enterprise).
David Zahra highlighted the various wealth management solutions offered by the Maltese regulatory framework and highlighted practical examples of how such instruments could be used for personal wealth management but also for business expansion into the European Union, North Africa and the Middle East.
