To mark the 50th anniversary of the start of bilateral relations between Malta and Tunisia, a trade delegation consisting of 26 Maltese business representatives, and led by the President of the Republic of Malta, took part in a fruitful two-day trade mission to Tunisia.
The highly successful exercise was organised by the Maltese Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, in cooperation with the Tunisian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr Frank Farrugia and Mr Mounir Mouakhar, respectively Presidents of the Maltese and Tunisian Chambers of Commerce, also addressed the Maltese-Tunisian Forum, as well as Mme Wided Bouchamaoui, President of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Crafts.
Approximately one hundred smaller business-to-business meetings were facilitated throughout the event, which cannot be called anything other than a highly positive affirmation of the already excellent relations between the two countries, and which bodes very well for future cooperation.
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a network primarily intended to help companies thrive internationally and within which both the Maltese and Tunisian Chambers operate, was fundamental in enabling the organisation of the bilateral event.
