Visa has revealed that its Visa Innovation Program Europe, which was launched in 2018 and is presently operating in Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, and Spain, will be extended to Malta.
The aim of the program is to assist early-stage Fintechs in scaling up and strengthening their value proposition. It also provides access to Visa’s markets, clients, products, and industry mentoring.
Fintechs in Malta will be able to apply for the 2023 edition of the program, and the selected candidates will become part of the Visa Innovation Program Europe for six months, during which they will receive support to ensure growth, access to training resources, mentoring, and investors. The approved candidates will also have the opportunity to work with proof-of-concept partners, such as banks and merchants, to test and validate their propositions and achieve commercialization at a faster pace.
