David Zahra has just returned from the 6th Annual IBA European Start-up Conference held at the One Great George Street, London. The conference took place on 27-28 September 2023.
The conference brought together a myriad of visionary founders, dedicated entrepreneurs, and proficient legal experts actively involved in the field of startups. It served as a platform for fruitful discussions and the exchange of innovative ideas.
A series of engaging sessions captured our attention, including discussions on the implications of European FDI screening on startups, sustainability within the startup ecosystem, the impact of LegalTech on the legal profession and developments in DefenseTech in today’s European context. The definite highlight was a workshop hosted by Fladgate LLP, which explored the IBA’s Lean Documents initiative, featuring discussions on pan-European model clauses and white paper developments.
As we return from this enlightening experience, we are eager to share our newfound knowledge and passion with Maltese startups as we continue to assist them with their legal requirements.
